Microneedling training

What is microneedling?

Microneedling is a treatment which uses a tool made up of a roller covered in tiny needles. The roller is rolled across the skin of the face, neck and body in order to improve the appearance of acne scars, lines and wrinkles, hyperpigmentation and sun damage.

The microneedling roller is then rolled over the skin in all directions. The needles on the roller separate the skin cells, creating microscopic channels into the dermis. This stimulates the skin to repair itself by producing new collagen and elastin in the affected areas.  Serums and after care products are used.

What is mechanical microneedling?

Mechanical microneedling uses a sealed cartridge device to prevent fluid intake to create micro-channels in the epidermis to improve the appearance of the skin with minimal damage. The pen can be used on patients of all skin types without the risk of dyspigmentation. The device uses a disposable head which is secured within the top of the pen reducing fluid intake and cross contamination.
